War breaks out on the U.S./Mexican Border and the Boom Brothers were there!

A battle had broken out Saturday evening in a south side Tucson, Arizona, neighborhood between Juarez and Sinaloa Coalition Cartel "soldiers" fighting over control of the distribution of cocaine and marijuana, coming into the U.S. Authorities interceded by bringing in the Boom Brothers to contain the violence. A single TV crew on the scene for Tucson's KAZZ TV, Kyle Hopkins and his cameraman, were embedded with the group. The KAZZ TV news video recorded what happened in the dark of the moonless night. The Boom Brothers apparently taking matters into their own hands.

There were no known Juarez or Sinaloa Cartel survivors.

Hey blogger fans, the Boom Brothers "We're Gonna Need Bigger Guns" Chapter 4 is now online! In this one, the Boom Brothers seek revenge on the mob after they leave Bob Lee for dead in a dumpster. Read about the brothers as they make “this thing of ours” a “thing of the past”. I think you will find that he chapters start getting a little more hard-core at this point.

Our own Navy SEALs Do it Again

We have to take time to acknowledge current events here. On Easter Sunday, as the Solmaia Pirate crisis just absolutely seemed to be turning to shit, the Navy Seals stepped in and saved the day! Way to go boys! True Boom Brothers fashion too. 3 shots 3 kills. BAM! And Captain Richard Phillips is free.

I think it is really interesting how the media thinks they have the inside scoop on this operation. Like the boat wasn't put into a position to execute this maneuver in the first place. I would seriously consider that the shots were not actually taken from the deck of the USS Navy Destroyer Bainbridge. SEALs like to operate up close and leave nothing to chance. Not that they couldn't have made the 3 shots simultaneously on a bobbing deck, at night, at the same time, with 3 perfect hits. They are the best of the best. But it is more likely that they moved in and took the pukes out and just fed a lighter story to the press.

I agree with one of our other readers. The Boom Brothers need to make a trip over to Somalia.

New Boom Brothers Video

The new Boom Brothers video has been released and is now playing all over the Internet. I'm really glad to see the first one go live before chapter 3 comes out. So far, we are getting pretty good response to it. A whole lot of feedback and traffic from MySpace which surprises me.

The Illustrations are All Original Art

Alright, I'm getting numerous questions about the artwork and Illustrator Luis Guaragna. And the answer is yes, he really exists. Read about him on the website. Luis, an Argentinean, who currently lives in northern Europe created each and every illustration in book 1 under the direction of the Boom Brothers. He is that good. Luis has published in the magazine Buitre, produced the comic book Resurrecto, his illustrations are featured in the book Strangeways: Murder Moon, and he did the cover and some interior art in a Stan! rendition of Murder of Crows. And a bunch of other stuff. You can find out more about Luis on the website, plus he is all over Google.

Novel Launch was a success!

Well, April 1 came and left with the big release of the Boom Brother novel and website and it was a huge success! We logged over 40k visitors in our first day. Looks like we are gonna need bigger guns... server-wise.

So far, the emails we received have been all positive on chapters 1 and 2. I got a sneak peak at the latter chapters and they are really GOOD! When chapter 2 ends, you kind of feel like, OK, they got the job done. But chapter 3 swings them right back into action and goes on. I am also hearing in-house that book 2 is nearing completion and is due out this summer. It's supposed to be "more intense" if that's possible. I actually laughed when I heard that.

I will try to give updates as we go forward and this grows. We are so busy with the launch I don't have too much time. But I will make sure to slip in the inside scoop every so often. Especially when the members catch on that they can also sign up for this blog.
